Potential Area of Learning

 Hi everyone who see's this!

I've just had a 1 to 1 with Helen and thought I'd make a post as I was a bit unclear of where to go with my 3 area's of learning but feel like I now have a clearer idea of what to start focusing on and wondered if anyone has any similar area's that they are looking at?

I have seen that a few have mentioned self care as an area, but for myself in particular, I have been a type 1 diabetic since the age of 3 and it has something that has always impacted my life, but while I was training, it was something I struggled to manage due to the long and intense days. It was something that I found would hold me back at times because I would be in the middle of a dance class whilst training and find my blood sugar levels would drop and I'd have to stop and focus on testing them and having sugary drinks or snacks to bring them back up before I could join in again when it was safe for me to do so.

I've read the below article online which suggests that when doing intense forms of exercise, insulin doses should be reduced by 90% which I was completely unaware of at the time, and wasn't advised by doctors that a reduction of this amount should have been used? Something that I have learnt from since training is to monitor and reduce medication amounts if I'm going to a dance class or teaching. (Link is below for anyone interested)

Thought it could be interesting if anyone else had maybe a long term health condition that impacted their training that still feeds into their day to day life?

Let me know any thoughts?
